Remember that spark? The one that ignited your entrepreneurial journey, promising freedom, impact, or simply a life lived on your own terms? Now that dream feels buried under endless to-do lists, constant client demands, and the sheer weight of doing it all yourself? You're not alone. I've been there, too.

For seven intense years, I was climbing the corporate ladder, rapidly moving from employee to manager, then department head, and eventually into operations and executive roles. I was constantly pushing, eager to prove myself and be a bigger part of the companies I worked for.

But then, a different kind of climb began. One marked by unexpected descents. After tirelessly fighting to be heard and valued in a leadership role, I was laid off. Undeterred, I dove into an executive position, pouring 80-hour weeks into a company I desperately wanted to see BOOM. But a non-present owner and a severe lack of support led to burnout, and I put in my notice. The pattern continued: another demanding leadership role, another high-turnover environment, and another layoff when the company sought "fresh hands," unaware of the underlying toxicity.

There I was, at 25, with three layoffs under my belt. That’s when it hit me: “It's time to dive headfirst into that idea I'd been playing around with since my very first leadership role, Virtual Assistance." So, I went all in. I even moved into my van, hoping that this lifestyle would come with less financial burden than paying $1,000 in rent every month. This came with its own lessons, but as a wise person once told me, "You'll never know till you try."

This journey, from corporate hustle to the open road, was all about reconnecting with my deepest "why": the desire for an adventurous life and work-life balance. It was a profound alignment with my personal values and aspirations, proving that this type of work could truly fuel my passions, not drain them.

This blog is a natural extension of that journey, born from a desire to help you build a business that truly serves your life's purpose. Through my own experiences, I've learned that overwhelm is REAL, and it has layers. I’ve learned that not having a mentor makes things 10 times harder (yet 10 times more rewarding!). I’ve realized that wearing all the hats isn't just near impossible, it's also not necessary. I've also found that nothing comes without struggles, good and bad, and that a strong work-life balance is incredibly valuable to my aspirations.

My drive for business is deeply rooted in my love for the outdoors. Running around in the mountains ignites me and makes the low ebbs of life easier.. This translates directly into the fulfillment I find in hearing the excitement in my clients' voices as we uncover growth avenues and create useful strategies. Through building my business from the road, I've learned that routine, schedules, and reminders are extremely helpful for staying on track, and that setting up systems and processes for success makes business flow a lot easier, creating less tedious days. The list truly goes on and on, and that is exactly why I am creating this blog: to connect with like-minded entrepreneurs and creators, to share helpful lessons and insights, and to create a community of people who want to see each other succeed.
